American Idols is a Special Needs team that competes several times throughout the year. American Idol's is the first Special Needs team from Ohio to compete in the Cheerleading World's in Orlando, Florida. Our next goal is to perform for the President of the United States.

One of our goals as a community this year was to give back to the community in any way that we could. Each team was challenged to get involved as much as possible and some have really taken to it with open arms. There have been a multitude of different projects undertaken. Check out all the different organizations whe have worked with so far below and feel free to check out their respective sites to see if you can do anything to help out yourself!
Cards for the Troops-
During the holidays our athletes wrote hundreds of cards with personal messages and thank yous to our troops that arent able to be with thier families
The Giving Doll-
Athletes collected donations to get handmade dolls delivered to children who are sick, homeless, hurt, suffered a life altering event or have a parent in the military.
Beautify Tallmadge-
Athletes helped pick up trash in public areas of Tallmadge to help beautify the city.
Thank Yous and Donations-
Athletes wrote thank you notes to adoptee families and helped collect donations around the community.
Book Bags with Food-
Each week our athletes fill up 2 bookbags worth of food for families in need. The goal is to keep children and their families fed so when they come in to school they have the right amount of nutrition to lead a productive day.
Change Bandits-
Athletes collected donations of change to meet a team goal of $250 to donate to Akron Children's Hospital.
Gift Bags for Womens Shelter-
Athletes collected donations and items for gift bags to deliver to a womens shelter for the holidays.
Retirement Center Visits-
Athletes have visited several times and have donated christmas gifts, lead chair aerobics, played bingo and brought joy into the lives of our senior citizens.
Stuffed Animals and Board Games-
Our athletes were able to donate over 60 new stuffed animals and a multitude of board games to Akron Children's Hospital for sick children to feel comforted in their time of need.
